2:39 pm - July 11, 2004 I don't think I've done a lot. Jordan got home on Friday and I got to talk to him temporarily. He went and saw two movies over the weekend and got to be with some of his friends, so I'm glad he had the opportunity to relax. I think Joshua freaked out my mom and part of the Sunday School class today after I left. Mom was telling me about it earlier. I think he gave Katie S. the impression that Jordan and I were engaged or something, and she was like, "WHAT?!?!" Hehe. I know that Saturday was a busy day for me. I went shopping early in the morning at Kohl's and bought the necessary cute clothes. And an absolutely adorable new bookbag. And Brandon called me that morning, which was odd because I haven't seen him in like 3 weeks. But oh well. I then went to Wal-Mart with Mom and saw Jake, and then we went to Anderson. But the stupid lady couldn't find my jeans, and an hour later she called me and said she found them. I DO NOT LIVE CLOSE TO ANDERSON! I don't like driving up there constantly. I am never leaving anything anywhere again. (Not like I did it on purpose.) Then that night, Britt and I went to the Queen contest at the 4H fair. You really do see all walks of life at that fair. It's so weird. And why do all of the girls feel the urge to wear hoochie clothes to the fair? Who is there to impress? The pigs? Seriously. Stop dressing like a bunch of sluts and realize that we live in Hancock County. Half of the county is corn, for Pete's sake. I give up on girls. Anyway, Britt and I sat and got soaked in the rain. I talked to Doug and Aleece on the phone. Megan got Princess, but we all know she deserved Queen because well, she's Megan. Everyone loves her. She definitely had the most fans there. The best part was on our way back to the car. We both had on flipflops and were trying not to step in mud. So we broke out the cellphones and were holding the lights up to the ground as close as possible so we could see if it was grass or mud. It did not work well. Britt stepped in mud and did her little scream, and this man appeared and was like, "Are you girls okay?" Because we were both kinda laughing ridiculously hard, and we managed to eventually find Rudy and make it home alive. Today I went to MCUMC and then to Forward and then out to eat with the Boyd family at "Quease-no's" according to Bonnie. Then we went to see the "best house in Hancock County." It was pretty impressive. It had eight garage doors, a lake, and what I dubbed "the servant's quarters." It rivaled the house at S&H, which I will just never understand. Tonight is Bible Study, which I hope Steve comes to. I'll probably be working at the fair for a little while this week. Maybe or maybe not. It's just so darn BORING to work there. It's hot, the old ladies that work in the food section are cranky, and people order IMMENSE amounts of food and if you don't bring it just right they eat you alive. But Dad leaves on Wednesday, so Casie and I will be home alone for three days. Which will be interesting. Maybe we'll go shopping...because that's something I just don't do enough of. Love Always, Alison
