5:55 pm - August 04, 2004 Let's see. I left on Wednesday, and it was rough. The first flight was horrendous because we were too close to the engine, and I felt pretty horrible the whole time. We weren't in Minnesota for too long. The second flight went better, but descending didn't feel too good. The stupid stupid rental car place was horrible. They told us what spot to go to, so we did, and packed into the car, and then we got to the gate and they were like, NO...You have the wrong car. So we switched to a Durango. Which we were supposed to be in. Then they said THAT was the wrong car. By now, it's hailing, and this dust is blowing everywhere. It was horrific. I got dust in my eyes, and while I was trying to put stuff in the car, the door slammed on my leg. The bruise is amazing. It was huge and purple, and I loved it. Later in the week, I got another one. That big white beast was the car of Satan. After two hours of traffic in Denver, and getting lost, we found the hotel, ate dinner and collapsed into bed. The next morning, we ate breakfast upstairs and then headed to the baseball game. Rockies vs. Dodgers. Casie and Mom went shopping. We had great seats, in the best part of the field. They took your order and brought your food to you. I got to see Gagne pitch, and we saw 3 homers. It was a good game, which LA won. After that, we left for Colorado Springs, which involved MORE traffic, but it wasn't quite so bad. We got to our suite, which was lovely. I don't remember what else happened Thursday night. Let's see. Friday. Ugh. Horseback riding in the Garden of the Gods. Normally would be beautiful. However, my GAY horse "Ranger" made me really angry. We weren't supposed to let the horse eat anything along the trail, but Ranger decided during the second hour of the ride that he was going to eat everything in sight. I about lost him halfway off the trail, and he took off galloping, which FREAKED ME OUT. He was stupid, and I hated him. Otherwise, it was lovely. That was also the first time we saw Jordan. We went to the Academy and got the secret look around. We saw inside his room, and I met Kevin. After seeing that beautiful school, we took him to dinner at Red Lobster and then went to a miniature golf place. One of the best evenings. Saturday, we went on the Pikes Peak cograil trip. It was really cold and the air was super thin. It was, like, 14,000 feet above sea level. It was beautiful up there though. After we came back down, I think we went and picked up Jordan and went back to the room. We ended up going to Blockbuster three times. First to look, second with money, third with ID. It was fun times. We ended up watching Lost in Translation, which was confusing and weird. It was okay, but there were too many Japanese people. Maybe I'll tell about Saturday forward, later. Love Always, Alison
