Sunday involved another morning of rising early and we headed off for the Royal Gorge this time. After a beautiful two-hour train ride through the Gorge in first class seating with breakfast served to us, we headed off to get Jordan again. My parents dropped us off at the mall like we were in middle school, and we went and saw the Manchurian Candidate. It was a good movie, even if it did give me strange dreams of being brainwashed. I think Sunday night we went to Zio's, which was this great Italian restaurant. Our waitress was hilarious, and we had a blast. Jordan drew pictures, and he emerged as his true self for a brief moment in front of my parents, which was fantastic.
Monday involved sleeeping in a bit and then going to watch the Air Force kids soaring. We did see Jordan at some point, but there was no way to tell which glider he was in. We were there for about an hour, and then we headed off in search of A.) My Lance Armstrong bracelet and B.) His Sealab DVD. We were successful on Mission B. There are no Lance Armstrong bracelets anywhere, and it's so frustrating b/c I don't want to order 10 offline. If I do, I need 9 more people to buy them from me. $1 each! Casie wants one, so I guess I only need 8 more.
Anyway, we bought his DVD and then ended up eating at Fazoli's and playing more miniature golf. I hit three hole-in-ones in a row! The first 3 holes of the course! Amazing? I think so! Then we picked up Jordan, he bought me a sweatshirt, and we headed out again. Where did we go? That's odd, I don't remember. I know he was tired...oh yeah. We went bowling. And after that, we went out to dinner at Bennigan's, and we took him back for the last time. I, of course, cried my eyes out. I hate that. But I hated to leave him again. It's like I lose him every time I leave him. I think my heart breaks more every single time. Sheesh, I love that kid.
Tuesday, we went to some outdoor mall. It was basically a permanent Riley Days. I got a book. It wasn't too bad really, just a little warm. I found out about Charlie, I think three hours after it happened. Unfortunately, I found out some news today that made me feel sick to my stomach about the whole affair, so...we won't go into that.
We also left for Denver and ended up eating there in the hotel, and lounging in the hot tub for most of the night.
Today, we came home, two more flights, one to Minnesota and then home. I got to have my pretzels again. You have to understand that Northwest has the best pretzels that I have ever had. I mean, they top the honey wheat ones!
We got home, and about 3 hours later, Patty, Warren, and baby Dylan came over. I held him for a while and we played with the "ki-y" also known as kitty. He's soooo cute. I could keep him.
I didn't do anything tonight except watch Smallville b/c frankly, I'm useless right now.
Upcoming plans include...going to Charlie's funeral on Saturday and then going to Steve's church festival.
Wednesday, I'm hoping Kim and Britt don't have plans because Casie and I have amazing seats to the Josh Groban concert.
Thursday I believe that Ben wants to have a party, and I would really like to see everyone before school is over.
Anyway, I have a lot of mail to check.
