2:21 pm - August 18, 2004 Otherwise, I went to the oral surgeon to make sure I have to have my wisdom teeth taken out (I do). Two days after Christmas. Merry Christmas to me! And then I went to my Grandma's and inhaled secondhand smoke for a while. Mmmmm... Friday is what I am dubbing my makeshift birthday. I am taking my sister to school and then I'm going to the spa for a couple of hours. Then I'm taking my birthday money and going school shopping. Today has been a decently nice day, other than the horrid humidity. I got up early because I again could not sleep and went for a run. I think I ran too fast or I'm just really out of shape, but I got a pretty bad headache. As I was warming down, my neighbor called me over to the house and gave me my birthday card. I stayed and talked with her for about 45 minutes and then came home. Took a shower, and then Susan decided she would come over. She had the names of our suitemates, so now I will introduce to you the two newest people in my life: Jeannie Hartley and Kristen Bowlz. They know each other because they both lived in Jasper, until recently when Kristen moved to Evansville. They both are going to play tennis at UIndy, and they move in on Sunday. I guess that they were planning on buying everything after they met us and found out what we had, which just makes us feel very prepared. I guess Jeannie has a whole lot of carpet, so we're going to bum some off of her for our room and then use what else she has for the living room/kitchen. I think we're going to ask them to buy a chair for the room. Because we're bringing SO much stuff. And otherwise I've been blaring Josh Groban through the house and packing. I have all of my long-sleeved shirts packed, sweatshirts, and a couple sweaters, clothes-wise. Then I packed all of my school/desk supplies as well as all of my books and pictures. I'm burning up b/c of the stupid humidity. I think I'm going to try and go shopping for a few last things tonight for me and the room with my mom as soon as she gets home, which is like, 3 or 3:30. Casie gets out of school...now so she'll be home soon, too. I'm off. Love Always, Alison
