I live in the \"mansion\"
So anyway, here I am at school...it's been great for the day and a half that I've been here really.

We took forever to get everything settled in appropriately because there was A.) So much stuff and B.) Too many places to store it. Like, I am going to need something and not have the slightest clue which drawer or cabinet it is in. It's pretty pink in here...that's for certain. Not as bad as I had previously assumed because it's not like we have pink carpet or anything. That would be almost unbearable, I do believe.

I've made some friends...mostly guys, not that it should come as a shock to anyone. Girls wise, it's been mostly Kristen and Jeannie, who are both really nice. Jeannie is absolutely hilarious, and just all-out crazy. She's got a long-term boyfriend at Notre Dame, which is cool. And they both love Andy Roddick, which is just great.

Other friends include my first one: Paul. Paul is a junior here, and he and Susan knew each other. So he's been in our room a lot, and he's a lot of fun. You should all call my dorm room (Check my AIM profile for the number) and listen to our answering machine...or rather, our voicemail message boxes. It's pretty fantastic. Paul was here until like 12:30. He passed out temporarily, because he didn't eat all day even though I offered him some food a couple of times. From now on, he will be forced to eat.

I saw Jim for a bit last night as well and met his room mate Nate. He seems a little different but an all around nice person, nonetheless.

Today however, was the day of Alison making friends. Seeing as how Susan and I skipped out on the luau last night, we didn't meet many people other than the Central Hall freshmen, etc. But we went to Wal-Mart today with: Neil, a guy from my orientation sessions, who is rooming with Daniel. Daniel was a guy that Susan just happened to talk to at our Making College Count session and they both live next to Jim...oddly enough. Then we met...Ryan? He's from California, so he will be known as Cali or Fes. He surfs, which Susan dubbed as "hot." Next we met...uhm...Brad! He has awesome hair, it's really long and curly, and he bought a Nerf football that sounds like a train and was throwing it around in the Target parking lot. And that's the boys that we went shopping with today.

The other new friend I made...I had random connections with until I actually met him today. So last night, Jeannie and Kristen had these two guys in their dorm room watching movies, and Cory was one of them. Then today, I saw him sitting with Jeannie, and he looked familiar to me. (I finally figured out that he's basically Steve Carroll without his bright eyes and facial hair.) And then he was in my group for a good portion of the day. So instead of playing Duck Duck Goose like good children, we decided to get to know one another, and he saved my life. I might have fallen off the stage if not for him. But anyway, Cory's a cool kid...kinda quiet, but if I can get him talking, it's fun. Anyway, I'll be going. I'm going to "Thirsty Thursday" tonight at Schwitzer at around 8 or so. As for now, I might just watch some TV....Friends is on.

Love Always,

Alison
