You don't even know, okay?
Covington rocked my world! It's so much like Greenfield/Fortville combined. Like, the atmosphere is more of downtown Greenfield, but the size is that of Fortville. It's so precious there, and everyone knows everyone, and I just loved it so much.
Friday after classes, Robert and I went to the bank so I could give him some MORE money for the phone. Then I rode to Covington with Katie. I read my religion most of the way, and it was horribly boring. (The reading). We got there in good time, about an hour and twenty minutes and then hung out with his parents for a while, and I got to meet his brother Regan, who's a senior in high school. He's absolutely precious.
Then we went to their homecoming parade and met Katie's aunts, grandma, and cousins. Faith was soooo cute. Then we went to the barbecue dinner in the school, and Robert and I felt WAY out of place. We then looked around their school, which was so darn small! I can't imagine being at a school with so few people. Then we went to the Trojan Mart and to see the pigs, where Robert became really pissed off and uncomfortable. After this we went to the Homecoming game, where they got beat up pretty bad. Regan had a rough night, which made me sad because he had so many chances. And their best player got injured for the rest of the season. (They only have like, 25 kids on the team.)
Then we went to Ryan and Katie's youth pastor's house and dropped Ryan off, went to pick up movies (Mean Girls and Scary Movie 3) and then picked Ryan up again. We went back to the house, made pizza, and watched Mean Girls with Molly. She didn't stay too long. After this, we kinda messed around shortly and eventually went to bed. Katie and I slept on the couch, and it was soooo cold!
Saturday, we got up at a decent hour to discover that Ryan had attempted to go hunting, but it was too windy, so he came back. Katie got ready and went to Applefest with her mom and sister, and Regan came home not too much later from football. After I had gotten out of the shower and was attempting to get the rest of the way ready, Ryan and Robert decided it might be fun to attempt to give me a swirlie. So Ryan comes into the bathroom, throws me over his shoulder and tries to dunk my head in the toilet, while I was attempting to hit him in the nuts. So then Robert starts helping, and I was having a fit. I eventually escaped without having my hair in the toilet. I was the punching bag of the boys this weekend, but I'm used to it, and God knows that I love it.
Then we left for the soccer game, stopping to search for Katie at the Applefest. We watched the game, and I got made fun of some more for liking my food. I can't help it! I am not fat! Hehe. Katie came by for a few minutes and then went to her grandma's. So eventually, Regan took us home in the truck, and Ryan rode in the back. It was such country fun. Hahaha.
Then...Ryan, Regan, and I fell asleep watching the Purdue game until dinner, which was some of the best spaghetti that I have had in a very long time. Great food. Then after dinner, Robert, Regan, and I watched Prince of Egypt, and Ryan eventually joined us, which resulted in position #47 taking place...Trust me, you had to be there.
We watched Liar, Liar later that night but didn't really do anything too eventful otherwise. It was a great, relaxing time.
So it's like, 3 AM and Katie and I are sleeping on the sofa again. I wake up and hear several voices outside that I don't recognize, and then I see that whoever it is, is trying to open the front door. So Katie gets up and goes over and looks outside and realizes that it's the Tolley's family friends, all drunk. They eventually make their way into the house, loud and boisterous, drunk and smoking, and wake Ryan up. They pissed Robert off, and they eventually left. Interesting times though.
This morning we all got up and had some random breakfast, and then Robert and I left for home, while the rest of them got ready for church. Katie and Ryan aren't back yet. It was an amazing weekend though, and I really want to go back. I love Ryan's family and his little dog, too!
I think the funniest thing was that everyone in Covington says, "You don't even know, okay?" like all of the time. It was awesome.
Love Always,
Alison
